Outpatient care in Minnesota
Last updated: October 30, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of blueriverbh.com (the “Website”), operated by Blue River Behavioral Health (“Blue River,” “we,” “us”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. You must be 18 or older to use the Website.
The Website provides general information about outpatient substance use and mental health treatment. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace a conversation with a licensed professional. Reading the Website, calling us, or submitting a form does not create a provider and patient relationship. That relationship begins only after an assessment and your enrollment in one of our programs.
Do not stop, start, or change any medication based on information on the Website. Talk with your prescriber or a medical provider first.
The Website, our forms, and our email are not monitored around the clock and are not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are in a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Blue River provides outpatient care for adults in Minnesota, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and virtual IOP programs. Descriptions of programs, therapies, and schedules on the Website are general. Your actual plan depends on your assessment and may change as your needs change. We do not provide detox, residential care, or 24-hour supervision. When those services fit, we can refer you to a partner program.
When you ask us to verify your insurance, we check your benefits with your insurance company based on the information you provide. A verification is an estimate, not a guarantee of coverage, authorization, or payment. Your final costs depend on your plan, your insurer’s decisions, and the services you receive. Please give accurate information in our forms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including health information protected by HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Minnesota law. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
If you give us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry, appointments, and care. Text message consent is optional and is not a condition of treatment. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Text messages and regular email may not be secure. [Confirm Blue River sends text messages.]
When you use the Website, you agree not to:
We may limit or end your access to the Website if you break these Terms.
The Website’s content, including text, images, logos, and design, belongs to Blue River or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, change, distribute, or reuse the content for any other purpose without our written permission.
The Website links to outside sources, such as government health agencies and research organizations. We provide these links for your information. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the website.
We work to keep the Website accurate and current, but it may contain errors or out-of-date information. We may correct, update, or remove content, and we may change or stop any part of the Website at any time without notice.
The Website is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the Website, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, Blue River and its staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that arise from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and it does not apply to the clinical care you receive in our programs, which is governed by your treatment agreements.
You agree to hold Blue River harmless from claims, losses, and costs that result from your misuse of the Website or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [County] County, Minnesota. [Confirm with counsel whether to use courts or arbitration.]
When you use the Website or contact us electronically, you agree that notices, agreements, and other communications we send electronically meet any legal requirement that they be in writing.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Blue River about the Website. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on this page with a new date. Your continued use of the Website means you accept the updated Terms.
